Woody Allen's Next Movie: 'magic In The Moonlight'

Francois Arnaud is also perfect for the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie because he shares two very important traits with Christian: He can speak French and play the piano. It might seem like his chances of replacing Charlie Hunnam as Christian Grey are pretty good, but the actor does have some stiff competition. Other actors being looked at include "The Fall" star Jamie Dornan, "True Blood" hottie Alexander Skarsgard, "Divergent" up-and-comer Theo James, and "Cemetery Junction" actor Christian Cooke. A lot of factors are going to decide the Christian Grey recast, so it's hard to determine who will ultimately walk away with the role. The actor who gets the part will need to have the right chemistry with Anastasia Steele actress Dakota Johnson, and he'll have to be comfortable with what the movie's screenplay requires them to do and say (it sounds like Charlie's troubles with the script played a part in his decision to walk away).
Source: Kim Kardashian shoe collection

Not every theater chain was ready to go along with the idea. Particularly not Alamo Drafthouse, the chain known for its zero-tolernace policy on mobile use and loud chatter. Alamo CEO Tim League told the panelists, "Over my dead body will I introduce texting into the movie theater." Calling such behavior "the scourge of our industry," he said, "it's our job to understand that this is a sacred space and we have to teach manners." League said the movie theater experience should be "magical," but Regal's Miles replied that "one person's opinion of magical isn't the other's." Can You Names the 10 Best Stoner Movies? The Windows 8.1 version adds new brushes, watercolors, a graphite pencil set, "Inspire Me" suggestions, and more. The app also blurs the line between the real and digital worlds, thanks to a partnership with CanvasPop that allows you to easily turn your Fresh Paintjobs into physical prints. Photos and Camera both ship with Windows 8.1, and each has handy new features. (Click to enlarge.) The Camera app packs a fun new panorama mode based on Microsoft's killer Photosynth app, along with the newfound ability to capture individual photos while shooting videos. Meanwhile a "Photo Loop" mode has Camera capture a rapid succession of pictures from the second before you press the shutter button (spooky!) to one second after you press it again to end the shot, which allows you to choose the best photo of the bunch. You'll also be able to open Camera and take a quick pic straight from Windows 8.1's lock screen. Sadly, the Windows 8.1 Photos app has dumped the Facebook and Flickr integration found in the Windows 8 version, but it also packs a bevy of new editing tools, such as manual cropping, red-eye removal, color enhancement, and more.
Source:

He was one of South Korea's most commercially and critically successful directors in the 1970s and '80s, making melodramas and romances with social critique while South Korea was going through military dictatorships that censored movies. "God's Eye View" is his first movie after an 18-year absence, during which he taught filmmaking at a university. Upon his return, he said he no longer saw movies as a means to gain fame and money, but to achieve loftier goals, and said he hopes the film will help break prejudice about Christianity in South Korea. "Rather than to believe it, I want people to understand Christianity," through the movie, he said denying his movie itself is trying to proselytize. The drama has been met by hundreds of invectives online even though it hasn't been released; the film is still seeking a distributor. Some commenters were critical of the former hostages held in Afghanistan and others say the movie whitewashes those events in the Saemmul volunteers' favor. Lee said organizers of the Busan International Film Festival, where it premiered this month, expressed worries about showing the movie during the festival. Programmer Nam Dong-chul, who saw the movie and selected it for inclusion at Busan, said "God's Eye View" could appeal to audiences even if they were not Christian.
Source:

She explains it was for business. One famous movie theater chain bans her in protest. (Credit: Madonna/YouTube screenshot by Chris Matyszczyk/CNET) "It's just business" is an explanation that claims to cover a million deadly sins. Anything from betrayal to betrothal. In the case of renowned filmmaker and occasional singer Madonna, she reportedly used business as the reason she texted her way through the New York premiere of "12 Years A Slave." However, as the New York Post's unimpeachable Page Six reported , the singer allegedly offered a further retort to someone who asked her to shush like a virgin and shut off her phone. She is said to have accused her accuser of being an "enslaver." Perhaps this was attempted wit. But how odd that she might choose such terminology. Some might offer that she seems to be something of a slave not to the rhythm, but to her BlackBerry.
Source:

Woody Allen has revealed the title of his next movie: "Magic in the Moonlight." The prolific director isn't saying yet what the film is about. But it is set in the South of France and, judging by images released from the production, appears to be set sometime in the 1930s. (The title may be a reference to Dean Martin's romantic ballad "Magic Is the Moonlight.") PHOTOS: Billion-dollar movie club Allen's latest film, "Blue Jasmine," is still in theaters and has made has made a robust $31.7 million domestically and generated critical praise for lead actress Cate Blanchett . The French location of "Magic in the Moonlight" returns Allen to the site of his late-career hit, 2011's "Midnight in Paris," which grossed $56.8 million domestically. "Magic in the Moonlight" is expected to be released in 2014, though it does not yet have a U.S. distributor.
Source:,0,5545976.story
